Accompanied by the Director of the Agency, he informed the members of Parliament about the challenges in teacher education and the findings of the study “Equity in the labor market integration and social mobility of graduates from Catalan on-campus universities”.
The president of AQU Catalunya, Francesc Xavier Grau Vidal, appeared this Tuesday before the Parliament of Catalonia in the Committee on Research and Universities to inform the members of the committee about the various issues requested by the Commission. Accompanied by the Director of the Agency, Jaume Valls Pasola, Grau first reported on the challenges in teacher education for future educators. After providing an overview of the early childhood and primary education degrees offered within the Catalan university system, he presented the results of the surveys conducted by AQU Catalunya in this area.
The surveys presented in Parliament were the Satisfaction survey —an annual survey of students who completed their studies in the previous academic year to assess their satisfaction with the education received—, the Labor Market Integration survey —a triennial survey of students who graduated three years ago to obtain data and benchmarks on the quality of their labor market integration—, and the Employers survey —a triennial survey collecting the perceptions of companies and organizations (centers) regarding the training of recently graduated individuals—. The results of these surveys can be found in the report Employment and University Education in the Field of Education (April 2025).
Subsequently, Grau presented the results of the study Equity in the Labor Market Integration and Social Mobility of Graduates from Catalan On-Campus Universities. In relation to this study, published by the Agency in February of this year, the president focused on aspects such as the distribution of the graduate population by social background, equity in labor market integration, and social mobility.
