AQU Catalunya Governing Board appoints four new members of the CAIP
Diego Pablo Ruiz, Maria de Lurdes Correia, Caty Duykaerts and Patrick Heinzer are the new members of the Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP).
The AQU Catalunya Governing Board chose the four members of the Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP) at its most recent meeting, which took place on 16 April. Diego Pablo Ruiz, Caty Duykaerts, Patrick Heinzer, and Maria de Lurdes Correia have all been appointed to this commission. Fiona Crozier, Steffen Westergard, José Antonio Sarsfield, and María Concepción López-Fernández are being replaced by the four new members of the CAIP. Diego Pablo Ruiz will be in charge of the Particular Commission for the Assessment of Phd Degrees as well as serving as a member of the CAIP.
At the University of Granada, Ruiz is currently a full professor of Physical Sciences. At Universidade do Porto, Maria Lurdes Correia is a full professor of Portuguese Culture. Duykaerts is former director of the Agence pour l'Evaluation de la Qualité de l'Enseignement Supérieur. Heinzer is a part of the German Agentur für Qualitätssicherung Durch Akkreditierung von Studiengängen international quality assurance committee. Aside from the secretary and president, the CAIP will now consist of 11 members, including academics, professionals, and students. Since five of these eleven are women, the commission remains equal.
The CAIP is made up of up to ten academics with established professional careers and the director of AQU Catalunya acting in the position of president, as stated in article 19 of Decree 315/2016, of 8 November, which adopts the Statutes of AQU Catalunya. Furthermore, there are a up to two highly esteemed experts with expertise in quality management, as well as two students pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree at a university within the Catalan Higher Education System.
Members of CAIP are appointed to four-year terms that are renewable once. The commission members shall hold their current positions until their successors assume them once the mandate has ended.
