From 23 to 25 February 2022, external visit to AQU Catalunya to assess compliance with the ESG
An international external visit will take place from 23 to 25 February to analyse AQU Catalunya's compliance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).

Every five years, European quality assessment agencies must undergo an international external review of compliance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).
Agencies that have passed two or more consecutive international external reviews with the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) may request a targeted review.
AQU Catalunya is the first European agency to carry out a targeted review, and for this reason from 23 to 25 February 2022 it will receive an external visit from an independent, international panel. The team of experts that will analyse the Agency's compliance with the ESGs are:
- President: Bryan Maguire, Director of Quality Assurance at QQI Ireland
- Secretary: Terhi Nokkala, senior researcher at the Finnish Institute for Educational Research at Jyväskylä University
- Student: Anna Klampfer, studying for a Master's Degree in Material Science and a Master's Degree in Physical Energy and Measurement Engineering at the Technical University of Vienna
During the external visit, in this case virtual, the panel will meet with different agents who will be able to give their point of view on the operation of AQU Catalunya. Specifically, they will have hearings with some members of: the management team and staff of AQU Catalunya, members of the Institutional and Programme Review Commission, members of the AQU Catalunya Governing Council and the Advisory Committee, representatives of the Generalitat de Catalunya, university vice-chancellors, representatives of the Technical Quality Units, reviewers and stakeholders.
The external visit report, which will be made public, is expected to be issued before the summer.
