SharePompeu Fabra University's Barcelona Institute for International Studies (IBEI) obtains institutional accreditation
All official university degree programmes taught at the Barcelona Institute for International Studies (IBEI) have been automatically accredited for a period of six years, as established in Royal Decree 640/2021.

The Barcelona Institute for International Studies (IBEI), part of Pompeu Fabra University, has been given a favourable report from AQU Catalunya, granting it institutional accreditation. The Institute was given this distinction following AQU Catalunya's certification of its Internal Quality Assurance System on 20 July 2023 for a period of six years.
Catalan universities and AQU Catalunya are working to promote institutional accreditation in the period 2022-2024 in order to replace the degree-by-degree accreditation process for training programmes. In this way, university autonomy is strengthened, the assessment load is reduced and efficiency is increased for the entire Catalan university system. The Catalan university system has 55 institutionally accredited centres, 15 of which correspond to Pompeu Fabra University.
