The AQU Catalunya Appeals Commission holds its second meeting of 2025
At the meeting, which took place today, COAPEL resolved 33 appeals lodged by university lecturers.

The AQU Catalunya Appeals Commission (COAPEL) met remotely today. The meeting, which is the Two of 2025, has aimed to resolve a total of 33 appeals filed by university staff. After approving the minutes of the previous meeting, the Committee settled a total of 33 appeals. Of these, 18 were appeals from the first call for the assessment of research activity (2024) by agreement-evaluation; one appeal came from the first IRAR Ramon y Cajal/Beatriz Galindo call (2024); seven came from the call for associate professors (2024), and seven from the call for full professors (2024).
Chaired by Neus Vidal Martínez, professor at the University of Barcelona, the commission is the AQU Catalunya body responsible for adjudicating on appeals against the decisions of the Research Assessment Commission and the other assessment, certification and accreditation commissions. Its decisions exhaust administrative channels. In 2024, the COAPEL resolved a total of 312 appeals filed by university teaching staff.
