On 29 May, AQU Catalunya convened the Student Committee, the Agency's body that works to broaden and systematise student participation in AQU Catalunya's assessment activities and which advises the Agency on projects that have a direct impact on the student body. This latest meeting, the second of 2024, focused mainly on monitoring the Student Report project for degree programme and institution accreditation.
This project aims to promote student participation in accreditation processes through the generation of an independent report drawn up by the students of the degree programmes or institutions to be accredited. This report serves as complementary evidence that accompanies the accreditation self-report drawn up by the centres' self-assessment committee. This experience is mirrored in other international initiatives considered as best practices in the field of quality assurance.
This project, after a pilot phase that lasted from 2019 to 2023, is in the consolidation phase. For this reason, the contributions of the Student Advisory Committee have been collected before presenting it to the Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP). Albert Gili, the Quality Area's project manager, is the secretary of the committee, which will meet again in 2024.
