The Vives Network of Universities launches a new edition of the Via Universitària programme
AQU Catalunya is participating in the project, which aims to analyse all aspects of university students' lives both inside and outside the classroom in order to improve their time at university in the near future.

About twenty universities gathered under the Vives Network of Universities have been participating since 1st February in the latest edition of the Via Universitària programme, which is in the student participation phase. The programme aims to collect rigorous, objective and comprehensive information on the living conditions and the ways in which university students are linked to their studies through a survey sent to all Bachelor's and Master's degree students at these twenty centres, which encompass a total of almost 400,000 people.
The programme uses all the data collected to build a reliable knowledge base that provides relevant information on university life in the Vives University Network territory, which includes universities in Catalonia, the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands. The knowledge collected in the surveys is used to subsequently guide the proposals for enhancement in university policies, as well as to act as a guide to base the decisions and orientations of the policies that may be promoted by universities or other public authorities.
The information collected through the thousands of surveys answered by the students are processed by an interdisciplinary team of more than 60 experts –among whom there are lecturers, researchers and student representatives– coming from the different collaborating institutions and organised in different working groups. As in previous editions, AQU Catalunya is heading the project technical management of the programme, which was launched in 2014. The current edition, which lasts three years, started this year and will last until 2025.
