The director of AQU Catalunya presents the 2026 Employment Outcomes Survey at a Universitat Internacional de Catalunya session
Mercè Gisbert presented the results of the latest edition of this study, which the Agency has been conducting since 2001.
The director of AQU Catalunya, Mercè Gisbert, today presented the results of the latest edition of AQU Catalunya's Employment Outcomes Survey to the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC). Gisbert presented the findings of this study, which the Agency presented in July for the entire Catalan university system, at an online event organised by the UIC to make it easier to reach a larger part of its community.
The 2026 Employment Outcomes Survey of recent graduates from Catalan universities separately analyses the quality of the employment outcomes of bachelor's, master's and doctoral graduates from the academic years between 2020 and 2023. This three-part study, one of the most extensive studies of its kind in Europe, surveyed a total of 49,000 people in its latest edition on issues such as their salary, whether their job requires university-level skills or what type of contract they have three years after obtaining their bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree.
For the first time, this edition presented specific results on graduates of double bachelor's degree programmes and on differences in the employment outcomes of master's graduates according to the mode of study (online or face-to-face). Also noteworthy are the results on the emotional well-being of doctoral graduates during their studies and their employment outcomes outside academia.
The Employment Outcomes Study of graduates, which has been carried out every three years since 2001, arose from the interest of Catalonia's public and private universities, affiliated centres and higher arts education centres in obtaining data and benchmarks on the quality of their students' employment outcomes. Coordinated by AQU Catalunya with the support of the social councils of Catalan public universities, the study focuses on the employment rate, the quality of employment and the skills developed.
