Registration for the webinar “Employability and University Training in Pharmacy: Satisfaction, Employment Outcomes and the Pharmacies' Opinion” now open
With this new seminar, AQU Catalunya continues to disseminate the results of the survey, carried out with the support of the “la Caixa” Banking Foundation and the Council of Pharmaceutical Associations of Catalonia.
AQU Catalunya is organising a webinar on 6 July, Employability and University Training in Pharmacy: Satisfaction, Employment Outcomes and the Pharmacies' Opinion, which will be used to present the results of the third edition of the Employers survey (2020-2023). As a new feature in this edition, pharmacies were asked about the competencies of students on internships.
Jaume Valls , director of AQU Catalunya; Jordi Camarasa, dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Barcelona; and Conxita Mestres, dean of the Blanquerna Faculty of Health Sciences at Ramon Llull University, will welcome attendees to the webinar.
Then Prof. Francisco Zaragozá, full professor of Pharmacology at the University of Alcalá de Henares, will give the presentation “The basis of the pharmacist’s professional skills: excellent training”.
The conference will continue with a presentation by Anna Prades, Head of the Agency's Internationalisation and Knowledge Generation Department, who will present the paper “The Employers survey: the pharmacies' opinion”.
Finally, there will be a round table debate with the participation of Pilar Gascón, supervised internship coordinator for the bachelor's degree in Pharmacy at IQS-Blanquerna, Ramon Llull University; Alícia Josa, graduate in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona; and a person representing the employer group, who will focus on addressing the challenges in university training in the field of Pharmacy. The debate will be moderated by Jordi Camarasa, dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the University of Barcelona.
The webinar is open to the entire university community and is aimed at university leaders in general and those responsible for the discipline analysed in particular; at university technical units; at quality assurance agencies; at employers; at government officials; at graduates; at teachers and students in general; and at other stakeholders.
