Appeals
Universities may lodge appeals against final accreditation decisions before the chair of the Council of Universities within 15 working days of the date of notification. If the Council of Universities admits the appeal for consideration, it may refer it to AQU Catalunya’s Appeals Commission so that the latter may issue a review report. The Council of Universities must issue a decision on this appeal within three months of it being submitted.
Universities may lodge appeals against the final accreditation decision before the Appeals Commission of AQU Catalunya within one month of the day after the notification. The Appeals Commission must issue a decision on this appeal within three months of it being submitted.
We recommend referring to the Procedure for Ruling on Appeals and Issuing Reviews of the Decisions of Assessment, Certification and Accreditation Commissions before filing an appeal. Appeals against the CEAs’ final accreditation decisions must be submitted using the corresponding form, through the generic procedure for universities to AQU Catalunya via the Catalan Public Institutions Extranet (EACAT). If you have any other questions regarding appeals, please email ajuridica@aqu.cat.
