AQU Catalunya opens the call for the evaluation of research sexennial credits (sexenios) for university teaching and research staff at Catalan public universities
Between 12 and 30 January, contracted teaching and research staff at Catalan public universities will be able to apply to the call for the evaluation and recognition of research merits achieved during 2025.
AQU Catalunya has today opened the first call of the year to evaluate and recognise the research merits of contracted teaching and research staff at Catalan public universities in any of the following categories: full professor, associate professor, permanent collaborating faculty holding a doctoral degree, and lecturer, regardless of whether their employment status is permanent or temporary/interim. From 12 to 30 January, teaching and research staff at Catalan public universities can submit their application for the Agency to evaluate or recognise their 2025 research merits.
The Research Assessment Commission (CAR) of AQU Catalunya approved at its last meeting in 2025 the calls for the evaluation and recognition of previously assessed merits and research activity for 2025 for university faculty of the Catalan University System (SUC). As in previous calls, applicants may request either the evaluation of research merits or the recognition of research merits previously evaluated by the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI) or by CAR. Applicants requesting the evaluation can automatically complete the Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae using the data contained in the Portal de la Recerca de Catalunya, where faculty members are advised to update the information available before starting their application.
