AQU Catalunya, partner of the international project QADoc - Capacitation pour l'Évaluation et Assurance Qualité des Formations Doctorales et de la Recherche
Rovira i Virgili University and AQU Catalunya to participate in this Erasmus+ project which aims to strengthen capacity for high-quality university research in Senegal, Guinea-Conakry and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
QADoc (Capacitation pour l'Évaluation et Assurance Qualité des Formations Doctorales et de la Recherche) is a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme with the general aim of strengthening the capacity for high-quality university research in three African countries: Senegal, Guinea-Conakry and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The project is led by the Cellule Interne d'Assurance Qualité, the quality technical unit of Université Cheikh Anta Diop, which has more than 70% of students in Senegal and practically the same percentage of teaching and research staff.
The ministry in charge of higher education, the university quality assurance agency and two universities from each country will take part. In the case of Senegal, the quality assurance agency involved is the Agence Nationale d'Assurance Qualité (ANAQ), which is part of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE). It is joined by the Autorité Nationale d'Assurance Qualité Guinée, for Guinea-Conakry, and the Agence Nationale d'Assurance Qualité de l'Enseignement Superior et Universitaire, for the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The project also has European partners. The universities involved are Rovira i Virgili University, the Université de Liege, in Belgium, and the Université de Montpellier, in France. Portugal's Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES) and AQU Catalunya will also be part of the project.
AQU Catalunya will contribute to the development of assessment criteria for research training and also to the design of an assessment criteria training programme for ministries, quality assurance agencies and universities. It will be an interactive, international and hybrid training programme. In addition, during the project both AQU Catalunya and Rovira i Virgili University will receive visits from the partners to find out how an assessment is organised and to learn more about the activities they carry out.
