AQU Catalunya and its partners
In 2024, AQU Catalunya worked with 754 experts. Of these, 401 took part in the assessment of teaching staff and 371 in the assessment of institutions and degree programmes. It should be noted that some experts participate in both types of assessment. Overall, women comprise 47% of the experts, while men make up 53%. This balance reflects the Agency’s commitment to gender parity.
The significant representation of women in the permanent workforce is particularly notable. Specifically, out of a total of 55 people employed by the Agency in 2024, 76% were women, and 24% were men. If we analyse the functions performed by this workforce, the data shows that last year, 71% of AQU Catalunya’s staff were in technical positions, while 29% were in administrative roles.
In relation to international alliances, during 2024, the Agency continued to be a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), the Spanish Network of Higher Education Quality Assurance Agencies (REACU) and the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (COARA). Additionally, the Agency maintained its status on the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR) and continued to be recognised by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), while also adhering to the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA).
