ShareCall approved for the evaluation and recognition of research merits of teaching and research staff for 2026
From 12 to 30 January and from 22 June to 10 July, the Agency will open the calls that allow university teaching staff to apply for the evaluation and recognition of research merits (six-year research periods).

The Research Assessment Commission of AQU Catalunya approved, at its last meeting of 2025, the calls for the evaluation of merits and for the recognition of previously evaluated merits and of research activity for 2026 for university teaching staff. The evaluation of these merits, also known as six-year research periods, begins on 12 January for contracted teaching and research staff (PDI) of public universities, who may submit their applications until 30 January. Both the first and the last day of the call are included.
From 22 June to 10 July, the following groups may apply for the evaluation of their research merits: civil servant PDI of public universities, PDI of private universities and affiliated centres, permanent doctoral research staff of public universities in Catalonia, Ramón y Cajal and Beatriz Galindo research staff of public universities in Catalonia, Tenure-Track faculty of Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and distinguished research staff of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
As in previous calls, applicants may request either the evaluation of research merits or the recognition of research merits previously evaluated by the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI) and by AQU Catalunya. This is the case, for example, of teaching and research staff (PDI) from a private university who move to a public university.
Applicants who request evaluation may complete their Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae in an automated way using the data contained in the Catalan Research Portal. For this reason, teaching staff are advised to update the information available in the Catalan Research Portal before starting the application.
