Dr Maria Helena Nazaré, new member of the AQU Catalunya Advisory Committee
The president of AQU Catalunya, having heard the Governing Council, renewed the academic members of the Advisory Committee whose term was coming to an end and appointed Dr Nazaré as new member.

The academic members of the Advisory Committee, Dr Núria Sebastian, Dr Lluís Jofre, Dr Ángel J. Gómez Montoro, and Dr Josep Ferrer, completed their first term as members of the Committee this year. In view of the valuable contributions they have made over these four years and having heard the opinion of the AQU Catalunya Governing Council, the president of AQU Catalunya reappointed them to their posts.
Dr Maria Helena Nazaré, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, was appointed as a new member of the Advisory Committee. She replaces Dr Hélène Lamicq, who was thanked for her participation and valuable contributions during her term.
Professor Nazaré holds a PhD in Physics from Kings College London. She was rector of the University of Aveiro between 2002 and 2010 and a member of the Council of the European University Association (EUA), of which she was president between 2011 and 2015. She currently chairs the Board of Trustees of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.
The Advisory Committee is the consultative body that collaborates in advising on strategies, defining and improving procedures and drawing up proposals for action, in order to ensure the quality of the Agency's activities, in accordance with international benchmarks.
