Extraordinary call approved for recognition of civil servant PDI research activity for applications not submitted in 2020
From 10 to 31 May 2021, inclusive, civil servant teaching and research staff who were unable to apply in the 2020 ordinary call for assessment of research merits or as part of the pilot project on assessment for premiums on knowledge transfer and innovation may now apply for research activity recognition.

Given the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation-National Research Activity Assessment Committee's delay in assessing civil servant teaching and research staff research activity under the 2020 call and the delay in the pilot project on assessment for premiums on knowledge transfer and innovation, which affected the assessment of the applications submitted and the resolution of the appeals submitted by the interested parties, which in several cases were resolved once the recognition period established by AQU Catalunya had elapsed, the Governing Council requested that AQU Catalunya take action to respond to those affected.
At the request of the Governing Council, the Research Assessment Committee has amended Resolutions EMC/3587/2019 and EMC/2458/2020 to open an extraordinary call, from 10 May to 31 May 2021 inclusive, for the submission of applications for the assessment of teaching and research staff research activity for periods ending no later than 31 December 2019, and for applications for recognition of research periods undertaken as part of the pilot project on assessment for premiums on knowledge transfer and innovation in Catalan public universities.
Applicants must: be a civil servant teacher or researcher and have received a favourable report corresponding to the period assessed issued by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation-National Research Activity Assessment Committee.
The applications submitted under this call will have the same effects as those included in Resolutions EMC/3587/2019 and EMC/2458/2020.
