Subsequently, the committee held its working meeting, at which it ruled on a total of 29 appeals, of which 25 came from the second 2023 call for tenure-eligible lecturers, and 4 came from the second call for tenure-eligible lecturers for the 2023 Pla Serra Húnter. The Commission also dealt with the appeal concerning the rating of the accreditation of the University of Girona's degrees in Business Administration and Management, Accounting and Finance, and Economics.
The Appeals Commission is in charge of ruling on appeals lodged against the decisions of the Research Assessment Commission and the other AQU Catalunya assessment, certification and accreditation commissions. The Appeals Commission is also responsible for issuing review reports of other acts issued by the commissions when this is established in the assessment, certification and accreditation processes. Established in 2015 and currently chaired by Dr. Neus Martínez Vidal, the Commission met eight times in 2023, ruling on a total of 223 appeals.
