These are AQU Catalunya’s tools to help students choose a degree focusing on programme quality
The Agency’s website helps future university students decide which degree to pursue and at which university, focusing on the quality of the programmes and institutions.

Ensuring the quality of the Catalan university system (SUC) is one of AQU Catalunya’s core priorities. The Agency evaluates institutions, degree programmes, and faculty members. It also conducts studies on the employability of SUC graduates, the potential of these graduates in the labour market based on employer feedback, and graduate satisfaction with their completed studies.
Based on all this work, AQU Catalunya gathers a wide range of data that not only serves to continue improving the quality of the Catalan university system, but also allows the Agency to create useful tools to help prospective students make informed decisions about which programme or institution to choose. The main tool AQU Catalunya offers to pre-university students is the EUC Estudis portal, a free online platform that provides detailed information on the quality of official university degrees in Catalonia. The portal allows users to explore data on official bachelor's, master’s, and doctoral programmes offered by universities and higher artistic education centres in Catalonia.
It provides a basic description of each programme, the results of the quality assessments carried out by AQU Catalunya, and key indicators such as the employment rate or graduates’ satisfaction. The portal features an intuitive search engine designed to improve user experience, enabling filtering by field of knowledge, university, province, and more.
The EUC Estudis tool is designed for a wide range of users, especially students looking to explore higher education options in Catalonia and families seeking objective data to guide their children in choosing a study path. However, it is also useful for academic and career guidance professionals, researchers, and institutional decision-makers interested in the quality of the Catalan university system.
In addition to the EUC Estudis portal, AQU Catalunya has also created a dedicated page on its website for prospective students that explains the differences between an official degree and a non-official (proprietary) degree. This website helps students understand the implications of choosing one type of qualification over another —both during their studies and afterwards—using visual graphics. It also helps users interpret the quality labels that AQU Catalunya awards to official degrees and provides guidance to assess the potential quality of non-official programmes.
Beyond the tools offered by AQU Catalunya that focus on quality, the Government of Catalonia also provides resources to future university students through the Canal Universitats, its official portal managed by the Secretariat for Universities and Research. This website offers information and services related to university studies and access in Catalonia. It includes details on university admission (such as pre-enrolment, entrance exams – PAU –, and cut-off marks), the range of official degree programmes (bachelor’s, master’s, and double degrees), and key dates and deadlines (pre-enrolment, enrolment, appeals, etc.).
