AQU Catalunya hosts a delegation from Croatia’s higher education quality assurance agency
The five members of the delegation will learn about the Agency’s operations over the course of a three-day visit.
A delegation of five members from the Agency for Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Croatia (AZVO) is visiting AQU Catalunya this week to learn about the Agency’s activities across different areas. The visit began on Monday, when the Croatian delegation was welcomed by the director of AQU Catalunya, Mercè Gisbert, and the head of the Internationalisation and Knowledge Generation Area, Anna Prades. Following the welcome session, the delegation met with Concepción Herruzo, project manager in the Quality Assessment Area, who presented how programme evaluation is carried out at the Agency. This was followed by a session led by Núria Comet, head of Internal Quality Assurance, who explained the internal quality assurance system and transparency-related activities.
On Tuesday morning, the coordinator of the Quality Assessment Area, Albert Basart, and project manager Esther Adot presented institutional accreditation at the Agency. Among other aspects, they introduced the certification of Internal Quality Assurance Systems (IQAS). Subsequently, Sandra Nieto, project manager in the Internationalisation and Knowledge Generation Area, and data analyst Núria Mancho presented the surveys conducted by the Agency —on satisfaction, graduate employment outcomes and employers— as well as the thematic analyses based on their results.
On Wednesday, the final day of the visit, the Croatian delegation will present their agency to AQU Catalunya staff. Before concluding their stay, Esther Huertas, head of the Quality Assessment Area, and project manager Teresa Pitarch will discuss with the Croatian representatives new trends in higher education quality assurance, such as micro-credentials, the European Approach and labels.
The Croatian delegation is led by Vedrana Vojković, head of the Project Management Department at AZVO, and includes Davor Černi, Mina Đorđević, Ivana Rončević and Jelena Zidar. The visit is part of AQU Catalunya’s ongoing cooperation with peer quality assurance agencies both within and beyond Spain.
