ShareRegistration open for the REMOTE project webinar on the challenges of online assessment
The webinar will take place on 30 October, fully online and in English.
AQU Catalunya has opened registration for the webinar Challenges of online assessment in Higher Education. Experiences and guidelines for improvement, which will address the challenges of assessing students in online higher education. The webinar will focus on presenting the guidelines developed within the project and will also provide recommendations for improvement. It will take place online, entirely in English, on Wednesday, 30 October, from 11:00 to 12:00 CET.
The webinar is held in a context where online teaching and learning have become a well-established reality in higher education. This raises new challenges regarding student assessment, and the webinar aims to provide a space for reflection and debate on how to ensure the quality and integrity of assessment processes carried out in digital environments.
The session will feature participation from three external quality assurance agencies—Italy’s ANVUR, Portugal’s A3ES, and AQU Catalunya—which have jointly developed guidelines on online assessment in higher education. These guidelines provide practical recommendations for both universities and quality assurance agencies. Over the course of one hour, speakers will present the main conclusions and recommendations of the guidelines, highlighting best practices and strategies to address current and future challenges in online assessment.
The webinar is part of the REMOTE project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme under the framework of cooperation partnerships in higher education. Launched in 2023, the project is led by the University of Girona (UdG) and involves AQU Catalunya and five other partners: the International University of Catalonia (UIC); Politecnico di Torino (PoliTo), Italy; Universidade do Minho (UMinho), Portugal; Agenzia Nazionale di Valutazione del Sistema Universitario e della Ricerca (ANVUR), Italy; and Agência de Avaliação e Acreditação do Ensino Superior (A3ES), Portugal.
