AQU Catalunya's Student Advisory Committee welcomes two new members
The organisation has agreed that the next edition of the quality assurance student training course will be at the end of the year.

AQU Catalunya held the third meeting of the Student Advisory Committee in 2024 yesterday. The meeting served to welcome two new members: Rubén Aparicio and Paula Gelpí. Aparicio, a student at the Open University of Catalonia, has collaborated as a student assessor with the Agency, and also with other state agencies. Gelpí, a student at Ramon Llull University, was the coordinator of the student report for institutional accreditation of her centre, the Pere Tarrés Faculty of Social Education and Social Work.
The meeting, which took place in a hybrid format, also served to reach an agreement on the structure and content of the student training course on quality assurance in higher education, as well as the date for the course to be held at the end of the year. The meeting also followed up on the student report project for the accreditation of degrees and centres. In July, the Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP) approved the supporting documentation for the preparation of the student report, which will soon be published on the Agency's website. This documentation includes the guidance document and report templates that will be used in the student reports to be drafted for 10 institutional accreditation processes that are due to take place in the 2024-2025 academic year. .
The AQU Catalunya Student Committee has been in existence since 2010, and is made up of by 8 students and chaired by the director of AQU Catalunya. Its duties are to work to broaden and systematise student participation in AQU Catalunya's assessment activities. It also advises the Agency on projects that have a direct impact on the student body, and participates in the development of studies that may be of interest to the student body.
