Approximately 30,000 graduates from Catalan universities take part in the 2020 graduate outcomes survey
It has been twenty years now that, in 2020, AQU Catalunya has been coordinating the Graduate Outcomes Survey, which all of the universities in Catalonia take part in. This current edition, which consists of five surveys of the various academic levels, includes a survey of gender difference twenty years after graduation.
The cohorts covered by the survey are as follows:
- Bachelor's/First degrees: 2015-2016, except for Medicine, for which the 2012-2013 cohort was surveyed
- Higher education programmes in the Arts, Master's and PhDs: 2014-2015 and 2015-2016
- Gender difference twenty years after graduation (first degree graduates): 2000-2001, except for Medicine, for which the 1997-1998 cohort was surveyed.
The survey was mainly administered over the telephone, except for one faculty where a pilot test consisting of an online survey with telephone back-up was carried out.
All of the relevant fieldwork took longer than usual (this year from January to May 2020) due to the state of emergency, and the results will be conditional as they may not totally account for the effects of this.
Despite the difficulties of this edition, approximately 30,000 people responded to the survey and thereby made their contribution to improving and enhancing the system of higher education in Catalonia. The survey results will start to be released and published on AQU Catalunya's websites and Twitter account in July.
