Renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Taiwanese Quality Assessment Agency and AQU Catalunya
The Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) and AQU Catalunya will continue the collaboration that began in 2017 with the signing of the first Memorandum of Understanding between the two agencies.
The HEAACT is the agency in charge of conducting higher education accreditations in Taiwan, with the goal of achieving quality education and research. The Taiwanese agency works in the following areas: institutional and programme accreditation; the development of activities and research projects in the field of quality assurance; and the training of professionals and experts in this field.
The Memorandum of Understanding signed covers the following areas of collaboration:
- Improved knowledge of the respective assessment systems.
- Exchange of information and transparency.
- Staff training and qualification.
- Use of the other party's experience.
- Recognition, where appropriate, of assessments and other quality assurance operations.
- Collaboration in projects and activities.
